La academia británica de videojuegos ha anunciado sus candidatos a los premios BAFTA, que se convocan en asociación con la academia británica de cine, en sus diferentes categorías, siendo Wii Sports el juego con más candidaturas, hasta siete, seguido de Gears of War, cno seis, y Crackdown, God of War II y Okami, con cinco cada uno.
Los premios son otorgados por profesionales de la industria del videojuego, salvo en el caso del precio PC World Gamers, otorgado por votación popular. Los ganadores se desvelarán en la ceremonia que tendrá lugar el 23 de octubre en Londres, como parte del London Games Festival.
