Enterbrain ha desvelado su lista de los juegos más vendidos en Japón durante el primer semestre del año. Así, durante la primera mitad del año el juego más vendido ha sido Monster Hunter XX para Nintendo 3DS con más de 1,6 millones de copias vendidas.
Los primeros cinco puestos están ocupados por títulos para las consolas de Nintendo, pero entre los 100 juegos más vendidos la consola dominante es PlayStation 4 con un total de 39 títulos en la lista.
Nintendo 3DS está representada con un total de 33 juegos, seguida de PlayStation Vita con 12. La reciente Nintendo Switch, que se lanzó en marzo, aporta 10 juegos a la lista. Por su parte, las veteranas Wii U y Wii tienen 5 y 1 juegos en la tabla.
Sin embargo, la consola para la que se han vendido más juegos es Nintendo 3DS con 4.949.147 unidades, seguida de PlayStation 4 con 3.179.853 y Nintendo Switch con 1.600.599 juegos. PlayStation Vita suma 619.833 copias, Wii U 314.799 y Wii 32.287, para un total de 10.696.518 juegos vendidos.
Las editoras de mayor éxito son Nintendo (3,68 millones de copias vendidas), Capcom (2,19 millones), Square Enix (1,27 millones), Bandai Namco (1,16 millones) y Sony (640.000).
