PS3 / X360 / WII /NDS

Publisher Konami kicked off its 2008 Gamers Day yesterday with the announcement of Rock Revolution (PS3, X360, Wii, NDS), a new multi-instrument rhythm title developed by Zoe Mode and slated to arrive this October. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions feature a drum kit described by the company as "the most realistic drum peripheral on the market," with six drum pads and a kick pedal arranged in a manner similar to an actual drum kit. Rock Revolution PS3 and X360 renditions will include a five-note guitar peripheral, which can be used for lead guitar or bass in-game. Microphone-supported vocal performances, however, are not included. The game's Wii incarnation is said to include air-drum and air-guitar gameplay utilizing the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. The Nintendo DS version makes use of stylus-based rhythm play for all instruments, and even includes support for vocals via the handheld's built-in microphone. The initial release of the console version will feature 40 songs, with downloadable tracks to follow after release on the Xbox 360 and PS3. A representative of the company later clarified to Shacknews that, unlike the master tracks seen in other rhythm titles, all of Rock Revolution's playable songs are covers. Get the Flash Player to see this player. Rock Revolution comes equipped with two complete career modes for drums and guitar/bass, as well as five difficulty levels. The game features gameplay conventions similar to those seen in other rhythm titles, including an overdrive mode which increases the player's score multiplier when engaged. In addition to local and online multiplayer, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rock Revolution also feature Jam Mode, aimed at allowing players to create their own songs with the guitar and drum peripherals. Though the mode was not directly demonstrated, Jam Mode is said to allow players to record songs on up to eight separate tracks. The Wii and DS versions feature neither Jam Mode nor online multiplayer, but do support local battles and cooperative play. A complete list of songs was not disclosed by Konami, but songs spotted during the demonstration included covers of "Blitzkrieg Bop" by the Ramones, "Chop Suey" by System of a Down, "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden, "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot, and Wolfmother's "Joker and the Thief." When questioned about cross-compatibility with between Rock Revolution's peripherals and other rhythm titles, Konami senior brand manager Lauren Faccidomo said that the company was hopeful. "We're trying to work [cross-compatibility] out," said Faccidomo. "The drum peripheral was specifically made for this game—if it works with others, that's great too." A price point was not disclosed by Konami for any versions of Rock Revolution. However, it's presumable that the Wii and DS versions, which require no additional peripherals, will clock in at standard retail prices of around $50 and $30, respectively. Rock Revolution is currently scheduled for an October release date on all platforms.

Sinceramente, esto es lo que de verdad necesita Wii: un juego de musica en el que hay que tocar la Air Guitar y los Air Drums.

Personalmente, ya tengo el cupo de juegos musicales lleno con los Guitar Hero, y mas ahora que el 4 incluirá bateria.

Joder, menos mal que en esta generación me hice multiplataforma, porque si no... Konami capa online, editor y periférico a la versión de Wii. Entre esto y el aspecto del Lost in Blue... ¡Bien por ti Konami! xD

PD: De todas formas, este juego no caerá en ninguna. xD

Si no trae compatibilidad con las Guitarras del Guitar Hero , lo mio con este juego se acabo.  

Con un poco de suerte no venderán un cagao en Wii, no sacarán más juegos y evitaremos leer noticias como esta.

Konami se esta luciendo con Wii.Con 2 dedos de frente se darian cuenta que van a vender una mierda con tanta desidia.

Joder ahora todas las compañías se unen a la moda de los juegos musicales, aunque konami es la pionera del género, a ver que tal está su batería, si es la más completa seguramente vaya a por ésta, al final no nos van a hacer falta los accesorios del robo band  

hombre, la verdad que konami lleva haciendo juegos musicales desde hace bastante mas tiempo que todos estos... guitar freaks pro ejemlpo es una puta joya insuperable

aunque este rock revolution me deja frio, porque no deja de ser un clon de rock band, y es precisamente lo que no necesitan

que saquen guitar freak 8 &drummania 7 jdoer,  con temazos autenticos, si, que no son canciones conocidas (eno, ahi algo de rock japo (hide, sex machineguns, gackt) y algun temazo por aahi ,recuerdo alguno de dilinger scape plan, pero todas las canciones originales eran tremendas, super adictivas y pegadizas ) que me parece muchao mas enviciante que gh y cia

no me gusta nada el scroll vertical en 2d, prefiero el aspecto del rock band o del GH...

La verdad es que esta vendrá a ser una versión next gen occidental y descafeinada del tandem que junta ahora siempre Konami Guitarfreaks & Drummania.

De ahí que no lleve microfonos tipo Rock Band.
Lo idial es que saliese en PS2 y que los instrumentos fuesen compatibles con la versión japo.

¿Editor de canciones?

No me cabe en la cabeza la idea.
No tengo ni puta idea de como van a hacer eso :S

Parece un RockBand mature o algo asi xD
